Backups You Can Actually Restore From

Having a backup and being able to recover are different things. Kyros Networks designs, monitors and regularly tests your backups so a ransomware attack, deleted mailbox or failed server is an inconvenience — not a crisis.

The Problem

Why backups fail when you need them

The backup job has been failing silently for months and nobody was watching the alerts.
Ransomware encrypted the backups too, because they sat on the same network as everything else.
Microsoft 365 was assumed to be 'backed up by Microsoft' — it isn't, beyond short retention windows.
A restore has never been tested, so nobody knows how long recovery would actually take.
What Is Included

Everything covered in the service

Backup coverage review

We map what data lives where — servers, workstations, cloud apps, shared drives — and identify what isn't protected today.

Server & workstation backup

Image-based backups with local and cloud copies, so you can recover a file, a folder or an entire machine.

Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace backup

Independent backup of mailboxes, OneDrive/SharePoint, Teams and Google Drive with long-term retention.

Ransomware-resilient retention

Immutable, off-network copies and retention policies so encrypted or deleted data can be rolled back.

Monitoring & verification

Every backup job is monitored and failures are fixed by us — not discovered on the day you need a restore.

Scheduled restore testing

Regular test restores with documented recovery times, so you know what to expect.

Cloud recovery planning

The ability to run critical systems in the cloud while on-site hardware is replaced or repaired.

Business continuity documentation

A simple, current recovery plan: what is backed up, how long recovery takes, and who does what.

Why Kyros Networks

What makes this different

Recovery-first design

We start from how fast you need to be back up and work backwards to the backup design — not the other way round.

Independent of your other systems

Backups are isolated from your network and from your Microsoft 365 tenant, so one compromise can't take everything.

Proof, not promises

You get restore-test results and monitoring reports, so 'we have backups' is something you can demonstrate.

Service Commitments

What you can hold us to

These are written into every agreement, not just the website.

Month-to-month

After onboarding

No long lock-in. Once onboarding is complete, you stay because the service is good — not because a contract says so.

Cyber-liability coverage

Kyros Networks carries cyber-liability insurance, so the people protecting your business are covered too.

FAQ

Common questions

Isn't Microsoft 365 already backed up?

Microsoft protects its infrastructure, not your data. Deleted items and mailboxes are recoverable only for a limited window, and there is no protection against ransomware encrypting files in OneDrive or SharePoint. A separate backup is the standard recommendation.

How quickly could we be running again?

It depends on the design you choose — from minutes for a cloud failover of critical systems to hours for a full server rebuild. We document the target for each system so there are no surprises.

Where is our data stored?

Cloud copies are stored in Canadian data-centre regions wherever the platform allows, which matters for privacy and health-information obligations.

How often are restores tested?

On a regular schedule agreed in your plan, with results reported to you. A backup that has never been restored is an assumption, not a plan.
