Everything covered in the service
Virtual CIO (vCIO)
A named technology lead who joins your leadership conversations, owns the IT roadmap and reports in plain language — a few hours a month, not a full-time hire.
Technology roadmap & budget
A 12–36 month plan for systems, security, hardware refresh and cloud, with realistic costs so IT stops being a surprise line item.
Vendor & software selection
Independent evaluation of line-of-business software, phone systems, internet providers and IT vendors — we don't resell what we recommend.
Compliance readiness
Gap assessments and practical remediation plans for PIPEDA, PHIPA, cyber-insurance requirements and client security questionnaires.
IT due diligence
A clear picture of the technology, risks and costs in a business you're buying, merging with or partnering with.
Cloud & infrastructure strategy
When to move, what to move and what it will cost — before the migration project is quoted.
Security strategy
Prioritised security investments based on your actual risk, not a product catalogue. See Cybersecurity.
Project oversight
Someone on your side managing a software rollout, office move or migration delivered by another vendor.
Process & automation review
Finding the spreadsheets, email chains and manual steps that a workflow tool, integration or custom application could replace.
Ontario businesses where downtime and data loss are not an option
We work with small and mid-sized organisations across Brampton, Mississauga, Toronto and the GTA, Hamilton, Oakville and Burlington, and Vaughan, Markham and Richmond Hill, with particular experience in these sectors.
Law firms
Client confidentiality, secure document handling and reliable access to practice-management systems.
Medical & dental clinics
PHIPA-aware setups, EMR uptime and locked-down access to patient records.
Accounting & finance
Protecting client financial data, secure remote work during tax season and audit-ready records.
Manufacturing & logistics
Keeping shop-floor systems, scanners and ERP connected without downtime.
Professional services
Consultancies, agencies and engineering firms that need IT to just work.
What makes this different
Vendor-neutral
We don't earn commission on the software or hardware we recommend, so the advice is about your business, not our margin.
Hands-on, not slideware
Recommendations come from people who also build networks, run migrations and respond to incidents — and can execute if you want us to.
Sized for SMBs
Fractional engagements designed for businesses of 5–100 staff, with deliverables you can actually act on.
What you can hold us to
These are written into every agreement, not just the website.
Helpdesk hours, Mon–Fri
A real person by phone, email or portal throughout the business day, with critical alerts handled outside those hours.
Response targets
Critical issues acknowledged and worked within one hour; standard requests within four business hours.
After onboarding
No long lock-in. Once onboarding is complete, you stay because the service is good — not because a contract says so.
Cyber-liability coverage
Kyros Networks carries cyber-liability insurance, so the people protecting your business are covered too.
From first call to fully managed
Discovery call
A 30-minute conversation about your business, your current setup and what's frustrating you.
Assessment
We review your network, devices, accounts, backups and security posture and document the gaps.
Proposal
A clear scope, fixed monthly price and rollout plan — no surprises, no jargon.
Onboard & improve
We stabilise first, then work through the improvement plan with you every quarter.
Retainer or fixed-scope engagements
Virtual CIO services are a monthly retainer based on the hours you need, and are included at a reduced rate in our Managed IT plans. Assessments, roadmaps, due diligence and selection projects are quoted at a fixed price with defined deliverables, so you know the cost before we start.
Start with a free IT assessment
A no-cost review of your current setup. You'll get a written summary of gaps, quick wins and a recommended plan — useful whether or not you work with us.

Is this only for businesses without an IT person?
No. Many clients have an internal IT contact or a support provider and want senior strategic input those roles don't provide.
What does a vCIO engagement look like month to month?
Typically a monthly leadership meeting, roadmap and budget tracking, review of upcoming decisions and vendor proposals, and availability for questions in between.
Can you help us answer a client security questionnaire?
Yes. We review the questionnaire, assess where you actually stand, help you answer accurately and build a plan to close the gaps.
Do you have to run our IT to consult for us?
No. Consulting is available standalone. If you later want us to implement the roadmap, that becomes a separate, clearly scoped engagement.
